Well there's clearly a reason Mute hunted off when Skyman tried to use the Osg bridge.
It looks like Mute is a total dumbass that have no knowledge of diffrent area's and still thought he was hunting skyman in the cuddly regions of bywater. Now this may not be true, but you brought the whole 'it looks like' explanation into it.
It looks like Mute was simply baiting the attack and trying to get Skyman to hunt him back. Moral of the story: check how many hits your bota has before leaving the guildhall.
