I think it was the old, old Durmanhoth which was feared. The one from before my time, and indeed the time of most people commenting here. When all the old elite Swedes were members (Karanach, Canton et al). I don't think anybody could seriously suggest the silly Gangster Rap Daedin era of the Durmanhoth was very scary. :P
It could have been also the way Aura was compared to fade. That was some scary shit when you saw the room becoming dark. :)

Delkin just claimed much of something you are not. Do a Conf call or something to decide which way to continue and then get back to us! And Trempk, thats somewhat true, but I guess I am talking the days of ainaruth (sp? maybe ainarmaruth) and the likes, not the durms from 2000. :) They had an air of mystery and deadliness in the way they carried themselves, well at least in my impression. :)
If someone feared the old durmanhoth, then they weren't much of a 'skilled player.'

Who cares if it's like the old Durm or not... It is what it is. We're not claiming, nor have we ever claimed, that we're much of anything that we're not. The rap jokes and stuff are jokes, to be funny, because we're having fun, because this is a game. No need to go berserk over nothing.
You are nothing like the old Durmanhoth who were forced to convert into another guild. You are a clan that was formed during Dev22(?), and piggybacked off their name. Almost all of the real Durmanhoth leaders of old do not play anymore. That and no player with any skill would ever really fear you like they did the old Durmanhoth. Noone, really fears the current durm guild (and no you don't deserve to be called by their full name), so keep pretending you are 15 years old (even though guilds weren't even around then just clans) and you are the same group.
The only sad thing about this whole situation is that Jerf is a durm. I personally have met him IRL and he's really awesome to play black jack with. Hey Jerf... remember when that dealer took a fucking sob out of her pocket and ownt all of our hands? (maybe it was mels I can't remember). You almost died when I said that shit. :)

But yeah, Durmanhoth life is pretty hard - that's why we sell weed and rap for money. Like I don't throw down my tunes just to rock you, but also to talk about the trials and tribulations I face in life. Like if VC or anyone ever needs a unique roleplaying experience, I'm sure Manni will find a fixed fee for hiring me as a rapper...maybe 20k/hour? After all, I've got kids to feed.
Deadlok was hillarious, never seen a guy die so many times in so strange ways. He seemed to be the easiest target on the mud, but then suddenly he was a good player again. I guess when your stoned out your skull and drunk as hell you tend to have a hard time breaking :)
For as long as I remember, Durms always had quite a few assholes. At least I found the G-Unit ones funny from time to time, and when they screwed up, they didn't lie about it.

Well, kinda like Mimac said, when rims was removed I kinda hopped around for a bit from guild to guild. Manni is a good friend tho, and even tho I was pretty much the most inactive person in the world because of the Army he still gave me a home for the last year and a half that I didn't even step out of the guild. Last night was honestly the first time I think in over a 2 year period that I killed an NPC! lol. oh well.

Yeah don't get that either, but then again after rims got removed alot of players went downhill :( Nirrab eventualy went to dungs and then stayed evil, and jerf went to durms. And some of the others really old rims prolly stopped playing around then.
