    faggot (2)

'male homosexual,' 1914, Amer.Eng. slang (shortened form fag is from 1921), probably from earlier contemptuous term for 'woman' (1591), especially an old and unpleasant one, in reference to faggot (1) 'bundle of sticks,' as something awkward that has to be carried (cf. baggage). It was used in this sense in 20c. by D.H. Lawrence and James Joyce, among others. It may also be reinforced by Yiddish faygele 'homosexual,' lit. 'little bird.' It also may have roots in Brit. public school slang fag 'a junior who does certain duties for a senior' (1785), with suggestions of 'catamite,' from fag (v.). This was also used as a verb.

Why'd they start calling gay people fags, anyway? Far as I know, a fag is a cig, or a boy at boarding school several years younger than you who makes your toast and does your latin trans.

I wondered how long it would be until you crawled on here, you knew me like 4-5 years ago, we were good friends! Now you've been back 3 months and apart from the time you begged me for gold, we haven't spoken. So shut the fuck up.

I've got nothing wrong with being punished for cheating, but being stupidly 'overpunished' is just silly.

Zaellyer: I'd be upset to if I got 5 characters nuked for cheating Haarni, but that's your own doing, don't be bad at Tulkas for your mistakes. =/

I got 4 characters nuked for mild cheating, which I accepted, I was then hardbanned and maxxed a new alt that Valinor knew about - they let me max, and then nuked me. Tulkas really h-has- lost the plot, its like getting the chair for stealing a stealing a pack of fags.

Also I wasn't reffering to how he dealt with me, this conversation proves he really has no clue about being a PoL:P

Hmm, I am not sure is this just funny or sad. I know that players opinion does not mean much for the most of the powers, but still would like to say what I think on the matter.

Player's style - my personal belief is that this is what is most valuable for the mud. Most of the people here can go playing WOW, or any other RPG online with pictures but they prefer this ancient text game because it offers better player to player interaction and many different playing styles. Why any power will step so low to ask a player to change his playing style when it is not against the rules is beyond me.

Skyman is banged frequently, therefore dies a lot. He also kills a lot in the same time. He is not afraid to go out there and try to make gold and in general try to play the game in unfriendly environment which by itself deserves props. And it is not against the rules of the game. I have had a lot of fun reading the logs of him dieing and killing. The more I think about this situation, the more it looks like a Durm lobist on a mission to get rid of a treat.

My advice to anyone who is in the position of Power of Law - abide the laws. If you have a player multiplaying, cheating, harrassing sexually etc., go after him, do your best to catch him/her and punish him. If you have a player who dies a lot and kills a lot but acts according to the law and you think this is violation of the said law, change your fucking law. What is demonstarated in this log is abuse of ones power. The Power of Law shouldn't let his personal opinions affect how he enforces the law.

    Posting here - troublemaking.

Microsoft's policy of security through obscurity is already well known. Politicians do not want their dirty shirts out in the open also.

If you think you are just, why don't you want all the people to see it?

    I.

It seems quite absurd to be Tulkas would berate Skyman for his efforts in the war. If anything it would seem like they would sympathize with someone who has done so much for such a large war at such a large personal cost. How dare you be persistent Skyman!

I woudln't say Skyman hasn't cheated Nalthic, some of his logins, location he travels, then idles off, logs in 15mins later and repeats is pretty fishy. I'm not saying he IS botting but it's not out of the question.

It's hard to root for either side here. Yes, Tulkas is being slightly goofy, but better a verbal warning than a nuke... and yes, Skyman is entirely justified in killing Durms until a ceasefire is worked out, but his tone here reminds me of Draugluin, and that's never good :P

Wtf is Tulkas thinking? It's not Skyman's fault that the system is currently so fucked up death is meaningless. Thats why this war goes on forever, because each side can barely hurt the other. Skyman plays aggressively, but thats not against the rules. It's not like he's purposely getting attacked multiple times to screw them up with fines, or using a level 5 char to get deathblows (as some people have done). If anything, it just shows that death penalties are too light atm. And anyway, Durms and BKD are only killing each other, so its not like its fucking up any players who are unwilling to participate.

I really agree with Leod. I haven't seen Skyman cheat since he has been fighting durms and been a visitor in BKD. I think its total BS that Tulkas even had this conversation with him.

And Exhalev the thing is you were pushing the button yourself when you were talking to Aule like that when you were on your last leg anyway. I believe when Fyng got nuked and later suspended there was a 'this is a test' clause in there.

Apparently you failed. And I think the mud is better for it.

Hmm, does Tulkas think Skyman is supposed to declare himself defeated in the war and stop attacking Durms? That's what I understood from it.

Point is, would Durms stop attacking him then? I don't think so. Wait, I'm sure about it.

That is kind of funny. The way he plays is pretty ridiculous; but the solution isn't to punish the player for the way the system allows him to play, its to change the system to discourage his playing that way, i.e. a higher death penalty.
