I was just thinking that exp is the hardest thing to get if you have the cash... it used to be easy with the proper daze spell, but i always found it a pain in the ass... The only times i managed to get a whole bunch of exp so quickly was when i was doing dolamroth guards, by spawning 40 of em and just SOB'ing their asses, it gave me like 7k gold a round, and like 120k exp...was also pleasing watching the screen blink yellow 4 times in a row and watch all the guards die...
Did die few times doing that, mind you...

Sandstorm actually makes the game a tiny bit fun, though. I'd rather just be a wizzy without it. Well they're removing it for 2 1/2 months at least and I'm assuming there will be drastic changes made to it if it gets re-implemented, so the least they could do is offer a free prof change like they've done a few times in the past.

You guys speak of imbalance, but in realty, the mud had its most flourishing times in 1999-2000 where a lot of your so called unbalanced items really created a whole lot of buzz around the grid. Anyone who had whip or ARC was unbelievably strong, but above all, still killable. Balance and standardizing shit really hurt the creativity of the mud.. The guilds had so much power, and rightly so in my openion.. It took considerable time and effort to make it into any guild, but once you are in, you can rest assured of protection from your friends and mates... So much has been lost because of this standardizing shit that you guys talk about, which drove a lot of people away..
Lifting the hardbans sounds like a good idea, but I can't agree with the idea of restoring nuked characters. It would inbalance the game, like it did on TNT. People like Amearn and Spartan would suddenly end up with like thirty plus maxed assassins, and there'd just be rampant pkilling.
The reason I never really invested in tnt was I had the sneaky feeling it would be closing. So I pretty much idly golded on tnt while simultaneously playing on t2t, though many of the changes were really nice. One thing that wasn't so nice was all the weapon inflation -- Casta released a ton of unbalanced items -- too much healing, too strong weapons, and that new tradeskill that never got implemented on t2t? Mining or whatever it was? The rewards, wayyy wayyyyyy too powerful.
