Wow guys. That's really interesting. Hey can you tell us more about what damage a weapon might do under different circumstances and them compare it to other weapons because that's really an interesting subject.

And the fact it can shift grip is most likely why the damage throughout the whole log was so low.

Also, CA is like Shadowsword -- shift grip. Beyaz gets 4 rounds of 2h combat in this log, 2 misses, 1 hit for 6? and 1 hit for 20. Having fought CA quite a bit, I guarantee you the 20 damage hit was more representative ;) Plus it causes wounds that make you take extra damage (we didn't see this here) like a mini-flamer. So think Blackie meets Shadowsword meets flamer and that's Carack Amarth :P

Ice staff is the most random weapon in the game, it seems -- There's a log somewhere of someone getting stabbed for 211 or something with ice staff (with old/bad stabs), and I've used it for 20 rounds and gotten 18 misses (fresh).

Suffice it to say, Carack Amarth is a freaking intimidating weapon.

Also, one of my good old friends that sadly fucking doesn't play anymore once I think attacked a meg in mordor with ice staff, he took the guy down from high good (bad stab then was mels charged), to low dslg or nd (can't remember which) in 5 hits from ice staff (no headbutts - guy never trained tactics cause he was a noob). I have the log somewhere, I might want to post it for old times sakes. :P

9 - 4. 9 hits and 4 headbutts to take a victim down from perfect to dead without them healing at all. Hmm, oh well. A warrior with whip (myself) back in the day took down a faded guy using a phial and a full flask in 23 rounds (1 headbutt only). When comparing damage I would say its pretty close. But looking at your log, it definitely looked like CA was in horrible condition most likely from being used an assload in mordor. :P

There's a fight of Carack Amarth being nasty. Like any weapon, it can have its on and off days... In a typical fight, CA beats blackie every time, and can put out damage comparable to Aiglos or whip. Trident and Stormbow beats it, but that's about the only thing that can outdo that fucker.

But any weapon can miss a lot.

Umm, read the log again. He had one hit that did more than 15 (only maybe 3 that did around 15) damage (20 was that hit), and missed a very high amount. Maybe it was its day off or it was in horrible condition, and no I haven't ever used it, weapons like cleaver, black, icy, and quite a few others can do comparible damage to whats top in this log on an average hit. Unless... I have been playing too much diablo and doing 25 damage in a hit is very uncommon (which is possible but I know for a fact when I used to play I lost alot more than 25hp in one round often to linhir guards nonetheless). I just remember even AESS massacres doing a HIGH amount of damage. This isn't even considering weapons like whip/aiglos/storm where one round can easily do 45+ damage right? I am willing to bet with all that healing, some of the massacres Mord was getting in this log were well over 20hp.

Someone tell Tireless to stop ignoring me, because he keeps repeating my comments for one thing... for another thing he randomly ceased all communication with me and I'm about to lose the will to reconcile whatever imaginary differences he believes there might be between us.

Erm, Carack Amarth is the best weapon in the game, especially for warriors. The reason he wasn't low on health was he was hitting his healing frequently to keep his ep up... Beyaz just had shit all for healing.

Always love seeing this guy go down.

Pounder... Carack-Amarth is arguably the best damage dealing weapon a warrior can use in the game... Are you being sarcastic or are you just fucking stupid?

Mordhred - once again, very solid kill. Thank god for charge eh?

Very long... but very nice kill against someone with very nice armour. Luckily he didn't have a very high damage weapon or you would have been low on life. :)
