Agreed... though not everybody has the alias down ready for if they get whip. ...they should, but not everyone does.
However, that guy was extremely slow. When I pushed the whip (aside from ER days) I was gone and away via alias that only a range could have caught up to me in the first place. So basically this guy was completely slow.
1.) You can be robbed while evaded, and you can be seen in the room while evaded -- it just doesn't show entrance/exits.
2.) You don't have enough ep to stay evaded all the way down, even if you planned it out really well.
3.) In this log, Winnetou _sees him_ and steals the whip, so being evaded would not have done him any good.

Miroth Nailed it, Winnetou is the sort of guy who keeps attempting the same shit over and over again, until he succeeds. It always boggled me, and still does, how he manages to keep afloat in terms of financing, because seriously, his fines must retardedly go up so very quickly. Plus he does the re-generation thing where he suicides and comes back for clean slate of fines which also required plenty of capital to operate with. But kudos to him if he is doing it legally as I dont recall him ever being nuked for cheating.

Tireless: You can stop kissing his ass. When you look at his success rate, it's nothing to do with luck. When you try something five thousand times, chances are you'll succeed a few. You act like the log page is a journal of everything he does. The log page is mainly him bragging when he succeeds. You don't see how much he fails. Even a blind squirrel gets a nut once in a while.

He was drunk and got a wielded whip stolen. Most people get drunk at ledge in anticipation of falling. Winnetou saw the opportunity - drunk person with whip - and was able to execute quickly - setting a trigger which looks like it was set by hand (since no way did he guess who would get it) then running down the stairs manually fast enough to pass the guy.
Funny how Winnetou always happens to be in the right spot when people do stupid shit. But you're right, it's totally him getting lucky; he has nothing to do with people dying to him or getting their shit stolen by him. It's just a very... very long string of unlikely coincidences. That makes much more sense.
