But briefly: By the nature of God (assuming several conventional characteristics inherent to godhood; particularly the Boethian argument that God is _the_ good) there can be only one. If there is only one there is not an other (by design).
If a being is not designed to reproduce it either must have vestigial genitalia from evolving from something which does reproduce or gender would simply not be a characteristic of such an entity (just as, say, wings are not a characteristic of humanity).
The argument can be extended (and has more compelling justifications), but you get the idea -- on a rational basis it seems most likely that God is gender neutral. From a religious basis he is characterized as male. So there actually is a pretty good reason to believe that deity is not female ;)
The reason your 'For all anyone knows' argument is weak is the opening phrase suggests that there isn't a compelling reason to believe one way or the other. If there is a strong reason to believe something in particular, 'For all anyone knows' fails.
Also, even if God WERE female, having a 'god complex' would not identify the person in feminine terms -- unless gender was a critical component of the identity of deity _as we understand it_. Given the lack of certainty on the matter I'm pretty sure it's not ;)
