Depends on when you're comparing it to. If you're looking at, say, the middle of BPs when Kalimac racked up 500 kills... yeah, not nearly as much PKing going on.
There's only select people involved in the PK scene right now for the most part. You're right, there's not excessive PKing going on at all.
I don't think that the MUD is more of a PK arena right now than it has been in the past. Judging from this logpage, at least, it almost seems as though there are less playerkills going on. I'm not around on the game enough to say whether or not this is an accurate reflection of how things are there, though.

And yes, your target was certainly afk. I think you knew this. Why? Because your trigger was set to Rhos when you were fighting him right outside Thrands, you stabbed him from high shape right next to Thrands sp (The easiest to survive from place in the game) and, to top it all off, he didn't do a damn thing the entire fight.
