You shouldn't need to log on to know my level...

But Aedan was level 8 or 9 here, I believe.

I think so... I haven't bothered logging on to check the legend on them both to establish what level they are.

Comitting any lawsys infraction negates the blessIng of Mandos - attempted murder or theft included. The blessing does not prevent any action on the part of the one holding it.

IV) One or more of the following three conditions:

    a) The victim's last PK-caused death was less than 5 minutes

    prior, OR

    b) The victim has been killed 5 times in the last 5 days (not

    counting the impending death), OR

    c) The victim is below level 10 and the killer is above level 14.

Yeah, you should remove the 'l' I think, and just abbreviate it to Au.

Certainly a lot easier to recognise than Alu, or even Al.

  • Author
    Tireless [legacy]

Either way, 'alu' is still not an acceptable abbreviation for it.

    Tireless: Abbreviating 'aluminum' with 'alu'

Aluminium (and thats also how it's pronounced), fucking yanks!

I hope none of you are suggesting that a disagreement over the malleability of fictional elements isn't worth a playerkill.

Then one time after Roku/Tenchu or whoever killed me they partied up with me and made a shit amount of gold (which I thought was an impressive amount at the time) for me for some reason, and gave me prod. I was like why would they give me prod, this shit is amazing.

I would say even asking questions isn't a horrible thing. Yeah he could read the documentation, but at least it means there is someone that is actually interested in getting better. The thing he should be nailed for is NUUB.

  • Author

In fact, it hardly bugged me at all. My pet peeves are random capitalization, your/you're/there/their/they're, should have/could have, and... I think that may be it.

Well I Would Still Rather Read His Poor Grammar Over People Who Capitalize Every Word Even Though It Takes More Effort And Looks Really Fucking Stupid. Also, Thankfully He Did Not Have To Use Your/You're/There/Their/They're.

I pray that Aedan's native language is not English, in which case he can be excused. A little. But I would kill him just for the following offenses against the English language:

    Abbreviating 'aluminum' with 'alu'

(This is a crime against Latin, but deserves an honorable mention: Abbreviating 'et cetera' with ect)

Spelling arguing 'arquing' -- the 'g' and 'q' keys are halfway across the keyboard from each other and are sufficiently phonetically similar in this context that I don't think it was unintentional.

    'Shure'

    'Enuff'

'i do not need knew more'

Finally, his consistent omission of articles and occasionally forgetting his verb or apostrophes. I won't even start on caps. 'its like hitting with feather'(art., apos.) 'i can smash tungsten rod with plain hammer'(art., art.) 'they brittle'(verb) 'actually with right disc'(art.) 'i used soft grinding disc'(art.) 'it is mythical fantasy metal---'(art.)

    Backstory: someone auctions mithril longsword.

^ (OOC) Aedan: mithril longsword?aint that metal light..its like

    hitting with feather

^ (OOC) Fernando: mithril is a freaking hard metal

^ (OOC) Fernando: it's like hitting with a freakign hard metal

^ (OOC) Aedan: tungsten is freaking hard metal too,and i can smash

    tungsten rod with plain hammer

^ (OOC) Fernando: mithril is harder

^ (OOC) Fernando: Have you ever been hit with a tungsten sword irl,

    aedan?

^ (OOC) Halen has, a couple of times.

    ^ (OOC) Fernando nods.

^ (OOC) Fernando: did it hurt?

^ (OOC) Aedan: i used tungsten rods at work-they brittle

    ^ (OOC) Halen nodnods.

^ (OOC) Fernando: we're talking about swords.

^ (OOC) Fernando: i see no mithril rod auctioned

^ (OOC) Aedan: tungsten rods up too 3-4 mm are used for welding

^ (OOC) Florin: tungsten is also very heavy

^ (OOC) Fernando: still, not a sword

^ (OOC) Aedan: ring made from tungsten carbide is pretty much same

    weight as gold ring

    ^ (OOC) Fernando: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDlRqIZH7Js

^ (OOC) Aedan: brittel metals make bad blades.belive me

^ (OOC) Dolur: so he saws at it for like 2min on 4x speed

^ (OOC) Dolur: so thats 8minutes to cut through 6mm

    ^ (OOC) Fernando: yes

^ (OOC) Fernando: IMAGINE A SWORD MADE OF TUNGSTEN!!!

^ (OOC) Aedan: that dude is nuub metalworker

^ (OOC) Halen: Tungsten and hardened steel are the same

^ (OOC) Halen: Tungsten carbide is very hard, nearly as much as diamond. But a bit more brittle.

^ (OOC) Aedan: there are different cutting discs for pretty much

everything-stone disc wont do much on metal.alu has its own,and ect

^ (OOC) Fernando: i just sent an idea report, demanding a tungsten sword

to be implemented in the game

    ^ (OOC) Aedan: http://www.ring-ninja.com/lotr.html

^ (OOC) Dolur: 'Tungsten Carbide is extremely scratch resistant and the

    shine will last a lifetime!'

^ (OOC) Aedan: actually with right disc-it cuts well-i used soft

grinding disc used to sharpen mill tools, for sharpening my tig

welding rods-even sandpaper belt grinder can sharpen those

^ (OOC) Aedan: yeah,really-they machine most those tungsten rings

    with mills and latches

^ (OOC) Aedan: using carbid tip tools

^ (OOC) Aedan: no point to arquing me about machining metals

^ (OOC) Fernando: Mithril > tungsten

Fernando tells you: here we go again

    ^ (OOC) Aedan: probably

^ (OOC) Fernando: if you say 'probably' then you know nothing about

    mechining metals

    'fernando :(

    You tell Fernando: :(

^ (OOC) Aedan: it is mythical fantasy metal---

^ (OOC) Fernando: see? you know nothing.

^ (OOC) Dolur: what metal is a bone long haradrim sword?

    ^ (OOC) Fernando: hahahahaha

^ (OOC) Aedan: shure not bone

^ (OOC) Aedan: i knew enuff making my living exactly working with

metals....case closed,i do not need knew more....

Let me rephrase then... No one wants to see hunt/stab/kill logs on newbies no one cares about?

    http://logs.dyndns.dk/viewer.php/12219

That was one of my favorite logs out of those I've posted, and it's a hunt/stab/kill -- though, to be fair, the part that made it exceptional was the fact that I'd been hunting him camoed for over 8 hours waiting for him to leave Kadar.
