We can't all pretend that we're important in a game that means nothing to begin with eh? I never acted like I was a positive influence here. I never acted like I was an influence at all. Why would I want to be? Truthfully, the only times I've enjoyed playing on the mud were when I was leveling. I liked trying to beat my own times to 19. Once I'm maxed, I find the game to be a huge boring piece of shit. Log on, get equipped, make gold, log off. Log back on, get equipped, make gold, log off again. It's doing the same shit day after day. The only thing that provides any sort of entertainment is the interaction with others, which is why I thrived on pissing people off and getting nuked. If you want to pretend like this place is some holy artifact that must be preserved, go ahead. I'm surprised it's lasted this long. I see it as offering no value other than as a chatroom. And as much as I hate moronic rants about PK vs RP and political dicussions by jerkoffs like Rendor, at least they gave me something to argue about and enjoy. I had more to say, but I lost interest :P Fuck off.

I like Douglas. Having said that, this webpage has a tendency to bring out the worst in people. A lot of people who are relatively pleasant and sane to speak to in-game become either revolting egomaniacs or foaming-at-the-mouth trolls as soon as they hit the comments section.

I will grant even as much as to say I have a significant slant on things. View certain people certain ways etc. But anyone who actually knows me well, knows that while I get focused on particular people, I do actually have a very good instinct on whether someone is a positive/neutral/negative influence force in the towers. And when I am flat out wrong (which hasn't been a huge number of times) I listen to the arguments carefully and try to understand things better. Two things regarding this statement. One, the reason of this, is because I actually want the towers to do well. Thrive not just barely trickle on until there aren't enough online for a revolt when they actually close down the towers. Second of all, I have never had anyone try to convince me that you, Douglas, have actually contributed anything to the towers. Yes, I am jaded, that happens when you care about a place but the people running it don't care back. If you are too fucking stupid to understand that, then this argument is done between us. At least you have one thing right, and that's Formid. People have constantly (and myself originally included fyi) tried to group him into the old er groups that mass banged people. I think by now, everyone should know he wasn't of that mold and maybe only occasionally joined in on something when it was not easy to pick off newbie pray (or possibly trying to defend newbies in ER land from the same).
I doubt he was referring to you, Formid. I've got nothing but respect for you. As much time as you've taken learning the ins and outs of the mud, and for taking the time to help Obaern learn ER's when they were released, I got nothin but love :P People have ganged up on you in shit flinging contests throughout the years and you always seem to take it in stride. I forget that you like to guess alts and get them horribly wrong. I don't know who you think I am, but you're most likely wrong, which is usually the case. When I first started playing, I was sitting under the knight in Dol Amroth trying to get a pack. Some guy came in and randomly killed me. I had no idea wtf had happened or how to revive, but there was this nice guy who helped me to a graveyard and helped me get equipped again and back on my feet. Since then, that nice guy has turned into a fucking moron. He talks shit and has no skill to back it up. He acts like people owe him something because he's been around forever. Hell, he even got unnuked because he was so old, despite the fact that he deserved it after getting on the comm drunk and acting like a total fucking prick. I look back on the guy who used to help people and was actually respected for being a positive force on the mud and can't help but wonder what happened to the old Pounder. Most people I've known on the mud started out as immature pricks, then mellowed out and eventually grew up. You're the only one I know who started out acting like an adult and then turned into a spoiled fucking brat.
