Playerbase is up? I haven't logged on for more than 3 months, and when I was still active at least 7-8 of the most active players stopped playing. The mud was dying back then and I am preeety sure its not going to get better in time.
I'm sure they care. Without it everyone would be doing all their complaining on the comms. At least here it's off and away from the MUD.
It's funny, Daywalker, but in your absence your guild has turned into the new batch of herkies. Maybe it's due to a lack of a good example to follow, but the Fellowship has stooped to doing the exact same things that you accused the gentlemen from Herkimer of doing. Of course, they were doing it when you were there, too, so maybe it's not lack of leadership.
Myrddin made an incredibly succinct point. Playerbase is up and that's all the Ainur care about. I sincerely doubt that they give two shits about the life, or lack thereof, of this page.
The logpage only represents a subset of the MUD (and not a particularly pretty one as Etrius pointed out). The logpage being dead doesn't say anything about the rest of the MUD and I doubt Valinor care much about the fate of the logpage.

btw, i just noticed that in the 'monthly top 20 list' there are logs without ratings and even one that didn't allow ratings at all. page is dead and i blame valinor for instead of just banning the herkies turned the game into a pile of fluffy and girly shit so they would leave... like many others.
The biggest problem of the game is Ainur never listen... And I told them some day they will be left with a blank server with years of work invested in it.
Hope they figure out their greatest asset is their players, before its too late.

There actually are a decent amount of PKs happening, though. It's just that no one cares to brag on the logpage so no posts happen.
If it's any consolation, I'm even more of a nerd for writing it.
Incidentally I still think this webpage, and its prevailing popularity over the last decade or so, was one of the single worst things to happen to this game. I still miss the banter, though.

I think the nuking and subsequent banning of several players, of whom Winnetou was one, is partly responsible for this page's dearth of activity. Coupled, of course, with the woeful implementation of the PK flag. The age of PvP as we knew it, of which this website was undoubtedly a part, is over. Sad, but true.

What has happened is a slight lack in activity, that we have seen the last few years, combined with more or less removing pvp from the game (pvp flag).
No pvp -> no logs of pvp -> no logpage activity
Yeah it doesn't have fuck all to do with you Winnetou. The game is 17 or so years old give or take and most people don't play anymore. Hey 30 years from now when your wife's boyfriend's children are all grown up you can tell them all about how once upon a time you were a hero.

i did it once and returned. i liked my crimson steel one better. also, the fun resides in doing it, keeping is a matter of taste.
