The flooring is built around a pier -- carefully placed floor boards fit neatly to the dock, but there is a distinct line between the flooring and the wood of the pier. It appears the boathouse was added after the dock was built to shield boats from the weather. There is no wall at the southern end of the building; instead, the dock continues out over the Limlight River a short distance. You see some nets and oars hanging along the walls of the boathouse.
